How long does the account opening process take?

The account opening process takes a few days, please see the breakdown below:

1. Our team will receive your application only once you’ve completed all the sections on the client portal.
2. We’ll then review your information and documents and reach out to you if we require any additional information. This can take 1-3 business days depending on how quick you respond to us.
3. When all your information and documents are correct we proceed to open a bank account for you with Capitec Business. This normally takes 1-2 business days.
4. Once your bank account is open you’ll receive a confirmation email from the bank and an email from us with instructions on how to ensure your trading commences.
